Entered real estate full time while in college at UT Austin. Bought my first home as a junior at UT with savings from my summer job selling dictionaries door to door in Los Angeles in 1978. Personally and in partnerships owned forty rental properties, at one time, and learned a good deal about the vagaries of that strategy. Obtained my CCIM designation in the early 90s showing I know how to value commercial property, as well.
